What feels like luxury and doesn’t break the bank

Don’t overestimate the power a nice bar of soap, local goat cheese with lavender and fennel seed, a hug, a small bouquet of flowers, or a friend being right by your side when you’re in pain can have on how you feel.

Luxury, the sublime, doesn’t have to break the bank. It shouldn’t.

It’s these moments that can stretch and linger. For they’re meant to be relished. They need not be fleeting, yet truly felt and appreciated as to how luxurious they really are. String these together and you are in for a deliciously beautiful life. The only thing is paying attention to that honest feeling and expanding it outward.

Here’s the thing – what’s luxurious is a point of view, a personal response from the inside. Make sure what you treasure is a reflection of that which is inside you, rather than the social milieu. Not to worry, sometimes it can take a minute to know the difference.
