I'm happy you are here. This will be a short yet, I hope, impactful series to deepen you love, comfort, and approach to working with flowers.

Working with flowers is not just about making bouquets. It's about working with the ephemeral beauty of nature, learning to communicate via your senses, and play in the most experimental of ways.

Next steps:

  1. Carve out some time this week to go to the store or market and select a few bunches of flowers that speak to you.

  2. Stretch yourself if you always buy the same thing, like roses or sunflowers. Play with different colors, textures, some big, some small....If something stands out – looks interesting or unusual, indulge your creative instincts. Really this is all a playful experiment.

  3. While searching, breathe, listen, look out for native and ornamental plants in your neighborhood, or perhaps even go into the wild for a little forest bathing and foraging.

  4. One day 4 of the email series you will receive a series of video inspirations of actual arrangement techniques, so don't feel like you have to go today to get materials. This is an ongoing and deepening practice.
